Advocacy is often unseen work. It happens in courtrooms, attorney meetings, late-night phone calls, government offices, hospitals, and conversations with survivors who have nowhere else to turn.

Case Overview
A young woman came to Japan believing she was beginning a new life through marriage. Instead, she became trapped in a cycle of abuse, manipulation, and isolation.
Since escaping that situation, she has faced complex legal proceedings, immigration challenges, and uncertainty about her future. Our role has been to walk alongside her, coordinating with attorneys, connecting resources, advocating on her behalf, providing practical support, and reminding her that she has not been forgotten.
This journey has required collaboration across multiple organizations, three countries, and legal systems while continually protecting her dignity and safety.
